A typical day at PlannerShit does not really exist, and that is exactly how its owner likes it. As a one woman show with ADHD, the rhythm is intentionally flexible. Some days are spent painting and designing, others troubleshooting printers and cutting machines that are regularly threatened with a hammer. Chaos is part of the process, and it is embraced rather than fought.
Challenges have been constant companions, especially on the technical side. Machines fail, supplies run low, and nothing ever goes quite as planned. Still, persistence wins. When frustration hits, there is a network of fellow shop owners who step in with advice, humor, and solidarity. That community has been essential, not just for business growth, but for staying sane along the way.
Looking ahead, the focus is on growth and expansion, with spring releases currently in the works and plans for monthly freebies on the horizon. The advice offered to new shop owners comes from experience: build a strong foundation, do not rush, stay flexible, and never underestimate the importance of excellent customer service. Things will change year to year, and that is not a failure. It is growth.
What keeps PlannerShit going is the people. The connections made within the planner community are the most meaningful reward of all. While there may not yet be a single standout memory, the excitement of future events and shared moments is palpable. This is a shop rooted in community, creativity, and the belief that planning should support your life, not pressure it.
